What hampers us from being environmentally friendly?
As a people, our culture can be attributable to environmental degradation. Simple activities that we take for granted such as burning of paper and household waste, dumping of appliances in water-courses, over –using non-renewable energy and the list goes on and on. To become environmentally friendly and responsible the obvious answer is to change our attitudes. Change is needed!!

According to former US President Bill Clinton, “the world we live in today and complain tremendously about is as a result of our own activities as humans on our own ecosystem. We whine about floods, poor quality water and many more problems, but if we as a people want to live as pigs, the environment would teach us lessons that we don’t want to learn! Let us consider the environment and we shall all see benefits”. As we can see, the global environment is changing. Phenomenons like global warming were not known of up to 100 years ago. Our activities as humans have impacted on the environment negatively.
